SFF’s Application-Sharing Agreement with Effective Institutions Project

SFF is partnering with the Effective Institutions Project (EIP) to increase the funding pool available to SFF applicants by sharing applications to our SFF Funding Rolling Application with EIP.

While EIP will make independent funding decisions using their own expertise and evaluation criteria, this partnership allows a single submission to the SFF Funding Rolling Application to be considered by both SFF and EIP.

EIP anticipates recommending $5–15 million in grants to SFF applicants in 2025.

About the Effective Institutions Project

The Effective Institutions Project works to ensure that the world's most powerful institutions make decisions that improve human wellbeing – both today and over the long term. We advance this mission by supporting meaningful progress in how institutions navigate global challenges – especially in the areas of emerging technologies like AI, global health (including biosecurity and pandemic preparedness), peace and security, democracy and accountability, and state capacity. While we welcome proposals across all five domains, our primary focus in this round will be on reducing risks from AI, and we anticipate recommending between $5–15 million in grants to SFF applicants. We also welcome opportunities to co-fund or coordinate with other donors aligned with our mission.

If you have any questions about this partnership, please contact us at sff-contact@googlegroups.com , or contact EIP at info@effectiveinstitutionsproject.org.
